BCT Days 13, 14 and 15 (7th-9th)

Wednesday, July 7th -

This was a pretty standard day at BCT. The schedule that WebGuy posts just has "morning activities" and "afternoon activities" because different squadrons do different things. I know that Aggressors went to go get their hair cut, both because WebGuy said so and because Nathan has shorter hair in the pictures since then! Like really short!

Other than that, the Basics had intramurals in the evening. Poor guys, it was raining and so they had to do their sports in the rain! "Luckily," Nathan's is indoors! Here is a shot of him at volleyball sporting his super short cut and probably encouraging his team mates :D

Thursday, July 8th -

The Aggressors had a group photo taken that day. There was also a "Heritage Speaker" (I don't know what that means and WebGuy hasn't explained) and a briefing about how to wear the blues uniform (which is more dressy than the camo ABUs the Basics wear day-in and day-out). The only picture we found of Nathan from Thursday was the one I posted yesterday where he actually smiled for the first time :)

Friday, July 9th -

In the morning, there was a change of command for the commandant of the Academy. The former commandant, General Cox, relinquished command to the new commandant, General Clark. All the basics attended the change of command. Here are some pictures of Nathan during that ceremony:

I would assume the above picture is of the basics saluting the new commandant. Nathan is on the right hand side. Sadly, he was blinking right when the picture was taken, so he looks very odd ;-)

WebGuy has explained before that when a squadron of basics eat lunch in PT clothes (like the above picture), it means they are going directly to be fitted for tailor-made uniforms afterward. So that's probably one of the things Nathan did yesterday.

Aggressors also went to the cadet store in the afternoon - here's Nathan marching in:
And here he is shopping (in the middle of the picture, bending over). WebGuy has said before that the basics are not allowed to talk to each other in the store, and that there are only certain they are allowed to buy (ie, no junk food!)
Today - This morning (as in right now!) the basics are having a big field day competition. (See what I copied from WebGuy at the end of Tuesday's post). Then, this afternoon, they should be able to call home!!!!!!!!!! So my next post (probably tomorrow) will hopefully have information that we found out directly from talking to Nathan!!! :D
